The refurbishment of the Fitzwilliam Hotel, in Dublin, has seen the ground floor bar completely re-designed. Project Orange have been advising the hotel for over 20 years, and this new design represents an evolution of the brand, seen as one of the most luxurious hotels in Dublin. Our approach was to layer the original space, in order to minimise demolition and waste, resulting in a rich palette of materials and sophisticated lighting.

As one reviewer noted: "Expect to see thematic notes of brushed brass, marble and rich walnut wood throughout the hotel, from the hallways and common spaces into the rooms themselves. There’s a huge marble piece behind the front desk that makes quite the statement, but the little touches shine through too, like monochrome armchairs that compliment a geometric black-and-white carpet by the lifts. It’s just the right side of quirky."
