Docklands Development

Project Orange designed the interior concepts for a large development in London’s Docklands.

During our research into the surrounding area, we identified a concept based around two rival dock companies: West India and East India. We applied this concept to generate not one, but two distinctive interiors for the client. Docklands East being characterised by luxurious and exotic finishes, mirroring the extravagant goods imported by the East India Company. Docklands West having a graphic style with paired back, minimal detailing, again echoing the more industrial choice of goods imported at the West India Company.

Project Orange also undertook careful space-planning exercises to create streamlined layouts that work with the architecture and offer the end user the best possible use of space.

We also put together a detailed package for the selection of the furniture and furnishing for the show apartments.
