Good Growth Fund Success In Thamesmead

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has granted Peabody £1.15m through the ‘Good Growth Fund’ towards a new £2m community and enterprise hub in Thamesmead. Project Orange produced the feasibility study that, along with over 80 residents, businesses and community groups, supported the bid. Our proposals aim to transform the derelict 1970’s social club and area underneath an adjacent flyover into flexible spaces, able to host a range of services including community meetings activities and events. The scheme will facilitate diverse and affordable enterprise projects for skills and training. The project aims to improve the public realm and community amenities within the Moorings Estate, creating opportunities and a greater quality of life for local people.
