Project Orange collaborated with Janey Auchincloss to submit a design for a garden for the Chelsea Flower Show. In November 2013 we found out our garden had been accepted into the 2014 show!
The Himalayan Rock Garden is a collage of cultures, materials, and plants that have migrated from the East to the West. It celebrates both exotic and familiar plants that have travelled far, in an inspiring and contemporary setting. The garden portrays the epic horticultural story of plants that have a history in the Himalayas and to create a garden, which is a complex, jewelled carpet of colours and textures. A rill inspired by the Peepul Tree - the home of the Creator spreads its branches through the garden, and the water drips down into a mysterious star shaped sink hole, which exudes a subtle watery mist.
