Project Orange led a feasibility study and environmental planning exercise for a 9 hectare area of forgotten open space within Thamesmead collaborating with landscape practice LUC. We consulted key stakeholders including local community groups, schools, sports clubs, churches as well as residents. By reimagining this space, considering all the options for landscape, urban design, connectivity and development the aim was to improve the environment for local residents, raise feelings of safety and enhance existing assets by creating a destination.

Three interchangeable housing and landscape narratives were developed to represent alternative visions, all of which have a rich and complex impact on the neighbourhood and community: Garden and Field; Water and Wetland and Heath and Parkway.
