chester terrace, london
A project to refurbish a five storey Grade I listed Regency period townhouse at the centre of a Nash terrace overlooking Regents Park. The terrace was damaged in World War II and partly rebuilt in the 1960s, with the loss of much of the interior historic fabric. Project Orange is appointed as architect and interior designer to undertake a complete refurbishment of the house, including the creation of a roof terrace and reconfiguring and improving spaces on all floors.
The brief is to design a luxurious family house respectful of the Regency style and to furnish it with both antique and contemporary furnishings to create a hybrid style Project Orange has labelled Deco-Regency.
