Award winning property developer Urban Splash has appointed Project Orange for the design of a new building at New Islington.
The team was appointed following a competition with three other architects and will now be responsible for overseeing the design of the 'bookend' building at New Islington, Manchester's Millennium Community.The building will be situated adjacent to Tutti Frutti, a self build residential scheme at New Islington. It will comprise a mix of ground floor leisure space as well as family homes on the upper floors, introducing a completely new concept in housing.

Interior Architect of the Year Award Project Orange won Building Design Magazine's prestigious Interior Architect of the Year award on November 1st 2007. The judges said the work was "eclectic but highly sophisticated and beautifuly balanced" and that the work was "a joy to the eye".

Awards for Sleeper 2007 Project Orange was awarded Best Interior Design for Hotel, Bar and Nightclub or Lounge on November 14th for The Gunroom at Eynsham Hall wth its mix of contemporary and restored classic. Here, the fully restored original oak panelling provides the backdrop for Chesterfield sofas and classic tub chairs upholstered in canary yellow leather and pop art inspired fabrics. The graphics by Studio Myerscough complete the transformation.

Cemetery Road, Sheffield: Planning permission has been granted for this new-build mixed use scheme on the fringes of the local conservation area. Project Orange's first major building has scooped a prestigious RIBA award. The iconic building, wrapped in jet-black machined bricks, is a mixed use development of twenty two apartments, two self contained office units and two retail units.

Opening of Park Hotel, Navi-Mumbai, India
The latest instalment from the Park Hotel group has opened in New Mumbai. Project Orange designed both the envelope for the building and all the interiors. The concept mixes traditional Indian patterns and textures with clean lines and sensuous forms. The hotel comprises of 80 bedrooms, a restaurant, a coffee shop, banqueting facilities and a pool zone.
