London Design Festival

We have designed a table that celebrates the juxtaposition of texture and design we enjoy, using fragments of motifs that we have developed for our own projects in India. The resulting collage has been laser cut into the surface of the table and infilled with off-cuts from the factory floor. This intuitive sustainable process reflects the craftsmanship we admire.  Place settings are located using hand-painted Athangudi tiles, made by a hundred year old cottage industry company based in Tamil Nadu. In essence the table is an unfinished work which we are looking to layer over but it has been designed to be used.
