Barry

Barry joined Project Orange in September 2008 having completed his Part II in Architecture at the University of Bath. He studied as an undergraduate at the University of Nottingham and between degrees took two years out to work in practice and travel the world.

During his time at Bath, Barry explored concepts of nostalgia, re-use and evolution in his dissertation on Kettle's Yard house and gallery in Cambridge. His thesis project built upon this research with a contextual investigation of Spitalfields in London, from which he developed the idea of an Art Exchange as a way of mediating between the conflicting commercial and civic interests of the area.

Since joining the practice, Barry has worked on a wide range of projects, including The Park Hotel in Pune, for which he undertook concept design and development of the Spa, Pool Terrace and Rooftop Bar, and The Hoxton Hotel, for which he is running a project to design and deliver a new concept room. Additionally, Barry has worked on a number of high-end residential projects, and is currently preparing construction information for complete refurbishment of a large Grade II Listed house in Regent's Park.
